CAPTAIN AMERICA # 1 Preview

Funny thing, but after the events of September 11, I kept hearing two questions from comic-book readers:

• In the aftermath of an assault on our very real friends and families, how can super-hero comics ever be relevant again?
• Are the comic-book super-heroes going to go to war, like they did during World War II?

I didn't think the answer to both questions would be CAPTAIN AMERICA.  Not in a million years.  But writer John Ney Rieber is addressing exactly those questions in this new series, as Marvel sets out to retool its oldest and most venerable icon. Having John Cassaday on the book, fresh from a beautiful run on WildStorm's PLANETARY, doesn't hurt either.
