 >> SOMETHING NEW TO "DRAGON'S BREATH"
... YOU DECIDE WHETHER IT STAYS OR GOES
________________________________________________________________
It continues to amaze me just how *much* e-mail one person can
receive! Here at H&D central processing, I'm receiving about 80
to 100 e-mails per day.
Many of those e-mails are the "Enjoyable" kind: You know,
orders from the web site, questions from our customers, praise
and suggestions from in-store shoppers -- pretty much anything
written by a human being and sent to me directly is considered
an "enjoyable" e-mail. (Yes, even when it's the occasional
complaint!)
Others are the "Not So Enjoyable" Kind: Get-rich quick schemes,
refinancing your home, invitations to see Sarah Michelle Gellar
nude for only $49.95 a year. The kind of e-mails that aren't
written by real people.
And the third major type are the "Educational" e-mails:
Newsletters, mailing lists, sales ads relevant to the business,
and communications from our vendors. In this third category,
there's lots of information that could apply just as easily to
our customers as to us.
One of my favorite "Educational" e-mails is the monthly PREVIEWS
Update.
Some items miss the print deadline for Diamond's PREVIEWS
catalog every month, but their makers may not want to wait
an entire month before another chance at solicitation. So
Diamond slides them in under the wire as part of "PREVIEWS
Update," a special section of their web site where retailers
can order material alongside the current issue of PREVIEWS --
material that missed the print deadline.
However, you fine folks who actually *buy* these nifty items may
never think to go to the Diamond web site and look at the cool
stuff offered in PREVIEWS Update.
So, for a trial period, I'm going to start forwarding the
monthly PREVIEWS Update -- along with other bits and pieces that
may interest you -- as a subsection of DRAGON'S BREATH.
If you find this update useful in your ordering, PLEASE TAKE A
MOMENT TO LET ME KNOW! If I get enough positive response, I'll
continue running the entire PREVIEWS Update on a monthly basis,
and you'll never have to miss a product again. But if no one's
paying attention, we'll drop it from our regular content.
Remember: Your opinion counts! If you want to keep seeing the
PREVIEWS Update in this newsletter, drop me a line at
[email protected]!
 >> "PREVIEWS" UPDATE - ORDERS DUE MAY 16
________________________________________________________________
Sometimes, a publisher or a manufacturer notifies the staff of
PREVIEWS about a product too late to get it into the latest
issue. The following items are being offered for the first time
unless marked O/A (Offered Again).
If you're interested in purchasing one of these items, please
give your local comic book shop the listed item code by MAY 16.
(Do this online at http://www.heroesanddragons.com/SubscriptionProgram.)
