"SPIDER-MAN/BLACK CAT" ON SALE TOMORROW! ________________________________________________________________ Don't forget: Kevin Smith will be appearing on THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO tonight (June 25) to promote his new Black Cat mini-series from Marvel Comics. The series is titled SPIDER-MAN/BLACK CAT: THE EVIL THAT MEN DO and will feature art by the spectacular husband-and-wife team of TERRY and RACHEL DODSON. (You know, from HARLEY QUINN and GENERATION X.) The first issue of this four-issue mini-series goes on sale at Heroes and Dragons tomorrow, June 26, for $2.99. Smith is appearing on THE TONIGHT SHOW *solely* to promote SPIDER-MAN/BLACK CAT, not an upcoming film or television venture. With luck, this may pave the way for other comics creators on television and radio. (I'd love to see Bendis on CHARLIE ROSE!) THE TONIGHT SHOW airs at 11:30pm on NBC in all U.S. time zones. Well, after I started including PREVIEWS UPDATE in our regular DRAGON'S BREATH newsletters -- and it became a very popular feature! -- Diamond has decided to discontinue the PREVIEWS UPDATE e-mailer.
